Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Steve Windle will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. MaxAaas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm. On Tuesday, 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Max was born June 16, 1930 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Freddrick and Zelma (Boyd) Coleman. He and Gwendolyn Glidden were united in marriage November 24, 1951 in Flint. Max worked for Fisher Body for 33 years before retiring in 1982. He was a member of UAW Local 581 and founder of AaA"Flintstones Camping Club.AaA Max enjoyed spending time with his family, playing Bingo, going to casinos and traveling to Texas and Arizona for the winter. Max leaves to cherish his memory his wife Gwendolyn, three sons; Bob and wife Janice, Craig and wife Janie and Don and wife Kay; eight grandchildren; Jenny, Christina, Greg, Rob, Amy, Cyle, Jennifer and John; ten great-grandchildren; four siblings; Veraine, Keith, Lauretha and Gaynell and all his friends at the Highlands. Max was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Dale.
