Obituary of Phyllis Jean Pashby

Of Mt. Morris, age 78, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Concerned Country Care in Montrose. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Morris Moos will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, 11:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and Thursday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be considered to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Phyllis was born September 12, 1932 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and Mildred (Brown) Gaffney. She and Marvin Pashby were united in marriage June 12, 1954, in Mt. Morris. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory 5 children: Cheryl and husband Greg Stover, Pamela Frishcosy, Rebecca and husband Steve Elliott, Darwin and wife Mitzi Pashby, and Jeffrey and wife Techla Pashby, 10 grandchildren: Jeremy, Scott, Nathan, Michael, Allan, Joseph, Brian, Robert, Adam, and Cassie, 8 great grandchildren, brother Harvey Gaffney, brother-in-law Don and wife Vera Pashby, sister-in-law Maxine and husband Jack Stiffler special cousin Evelyn Dowd, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Ivan Marshall, husband Marvin, son Dennis, grandson Andrew, and brother James. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Concerned Country Care.
