Obituary of Ocal Boone

Of Flint, age 87, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at James E. Cartwright Care Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. OcalAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ocal was born January 13, 1923 in Balch, Arkansas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt and Maggie (Ball) Howard. She and Paul were united in marriage May 1, 1946. Ocal worked for Ternstedt for 21 years before retired in 1971. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, crocheting, knitting, taking care of her Boston Terriers, working with her flowers, and fishing. Ocal leaves to cherish her memory, two children Jim and wife Judi Boone, and Paula and husband Boyd Muske, five grandchildren; Jason and Justin Boone, Stephanie Stroup, Jimmy and Joey Ford, three great-grandchildren; Taylor and Madison Boone, and Matthew Stroup, three sisters; Ann Howard, Bonnie Jones and Shirley Rodgers, dear friend Melba Dempsey, nieces, nephews and friends. Ocal was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, brother Garwood and sister Mildred.
