Obituary of Marjorie Lou Foster

Of Vassar, age 68, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00AM, Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Roger Hazen will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 5-9pm Thursday and 10:00AM until time of service on Friday. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marjorie was born November 12, 1940 in Vassar the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Delorse (Adams) Martin. She and Rolland Lee Foster Sr. were united in marriage April 15, 1961 in Vassar. She retired in 2000 from Grede Foundry in Vassar. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, bowling, ice skating, playing cards, canning, fishing and dancing. She also loved travelling around the States and Canada and her trips to Florida and Otter Lake. Marjorie is survived by her husband Rolland Lee Foster Sr. of Vassar, Michigan and her children Rolland Foster Jr. and his wife Sheena, Terry Wayne Foster, William Rodman Foster, Charles Orman Foster and his wife Jennifer, grandchildren; Chryscinda (Kevin)Schmitzer, Tiffany and her husband Andrew McDonald, Evin,Jeramy Foster and Zoie Rai Foster, great grandchildren Hunter Eaton and Brooke McDonald. Sisters, Rosa Putman, Isabelle Lawrence, Emma Hill, Gerry and her husband Donald Springsteen and Mary and her husband Roger Starking. Brothers Julius and his wife Roberta Martin, Edward Martin and Wesley and his wife Wanda Martin. Several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Delorse (Adams) Martin, and daughter Ronda Lou Lucarelli, brothers, Albert, Lawrence and Morris Martin, sister, Ella Mae Deavers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nephews.
