Obituary of Edward Moran

Of Clio, age 83, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 1:00pm, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe in Flint. Rev. Fr. Timothy Nelson will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. EdwardAaas family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Friday, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. On Friday Evening, family, friends and parish will gather to Pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. On Saturday, Edward will be taken to church lie in state from 12:30pm until time of Fuenral Mass at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the church for Mass Offerings in Memory of Edward. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Edward was born July 9, 1927 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher and Mary (Flanagan) Moran. Edward retired from the Merchant Marine after his life long service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and sharing stories of his travels around the world. Edward leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters; Ann O'Brien and Mary McCarthy sister-in-law, Margery Moran; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Charles.
