Obituary of Myrna Lee Seymour

Of Mt. Morris, age 76, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. MyrnaAaas family will welcome visitors at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Sunday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday, 12:00pm to 8:00pm. On Monday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. On Tuesday morning, Myrna will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Myrna was born October 22, 1934 in Birch Run, Michigan, the first daughter of Leo and Madeline Dolan. She grew up in Mt. Morris Township and graduated St. Mary Elementary and High Schools with perfect attendance records. She married Leonard Seymour in l955 and together they raised four children. Leonard died in 2000. Myrna sang alto in St. MaryAaas choirs for 63 years and was an avid flower grower and a Genesee County Master Gardener. Myrna and Leonard hosted legendary Fourth of July family gatherings for more than 30 years. She was an active member of St. MaryAaas parish since early childhood. Myrna leaves behind children: Kenneth R. Seymour, Amy L. (Dr. George) Tellam, Ann L. (Donald) Kaczmarczyk, Audrey L. Seymour; grandchildren: Krystina Seymour, Krystal Kaczmarczyk, Sarah (Daniel) Bush, Donald R. Kaczmarczyk, Avalon Tellam, Seymour Tellam, George S. Tellam III, Amalina Tellam, and great-grandchildren: Austin M. Seymour, Daniel W. Bush II and Aubrey Seymour; brothers: Daniel and Charles (Kathleen) Dolan, sisters: Judith (Edward) Mayhew and Martha (Phillip) Pierson and many nieces and nephews. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard, and sister-in-law Margaret.
