Obituary of Barbara Boegner

Of Flint, age 79, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Gary L. Beck will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Barbara's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday 11:00am to 9:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church or to East Flint Lions Club. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Barbara "Barb" was born June 7, 1932 in Saginaw, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer and Thelma Schomaker. She and Joseph Boegner were united in marriage October 9, 1954 at Our Savor Lutheran Church. She attended Kersley High School. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling, hunting, fishing, cooking, swimming in her pool and traveling. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, husband Joseph, two children; son, Joe, and daughter, Beverly, seven grandchildren; Joey, Nicki, Symone, Kailey, Johnathan, Peyton, Nevaeh, two siblings; sister, Beverly Goetz and Jack (Beverly) Schomaker, many nieces, nephews and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, niece, Sharon and nephew, Larry.
