Obituary of Sharon Parker

Of Burton, age 73, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 10:00am, Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Chris Ames will officiate with cremation to follow. SharonAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2:00pm until 9:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA). Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Sharon was born August 22, 1935 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin and Violet (Clem) Isham. She and Eldon L. Parker were united in marriage June 28, 1953 at Arbela Methodist Church. He preceded her in death April 10, 2000. Sharon was a dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Otter Lake. She was a member of 4-H and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and picture puzzles. She had such a love for her vegetable garden that it grew into the family owned business, Parker's Greenhouse. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Curtis (Elise) Parker, Everette (Kathy) Parker, Connie Parker, Ralph (Maryann) Parker and Roxanne (Terry) Gabriel; seven grandchildren, Dena, Sandy, Sherry, Jared, Nathan, Sarah, Nicholas; nine great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Skye, Alex, William, Kiersten, Rodney, Chase, Parker; nine siblings, Ida Barrett, William Isham, Lloyd Isham, Laurel Baldwin, David Isham, Daniel Isham, Arthur Isham, Rosalyn Bogardus, Patricia Gordon and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eldon, son, Rodney on October 28, 2005, two sisters, Marilyn and Lolita.
