Obituary of Gordon Johnson

Of Mt. Morris, age 82, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at The Pines of Burton. The funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Vernon Lawrence will officiate with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. GordonAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, 11:00am until time of service at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gordon was born May 27, 1927 in Vanmeter, Iowa the son of Mr. and Mrs. Agustav and Helen (Aldridge) Johnson. He and Lucille were united in marriage in February 23, 1952 in North Branch, Michigan. She preceded him in death on November 9, 2005. Gordon worked for McLaren Regional Medical Center before retiring in 1992. Leaves to cherish his memory his children; Deborah and husband, Ray Mitchell, Harold Johnson, siblings; Ester and husband, Blaine Stokes, Paul and wife, Beverly. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille; three sisters; Mildred, Furne, Bertha; two brothers; Gus, Donald.
