Obituary of Robert White

Of Mt. Morris, age 81, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Grand Blanc Rehabilitation Care Facility. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Monday, February 22, 2010 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday from 12:00noon until 3:00pm and 5:00pm until 8:00pm. On Saturday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6pm. On Monday morning, Mr. White will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Mary ChurchAaaMt. Morris or the charity of choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Robert was born June 11, 1928 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Mamie (Landry) White. He and Elaine Laracey were united in marriage on July 30, 1955. Robert served for the United States Army during the Korean War. He also served as the first full-time General Manager of Flint Area School Employees Credit Union from 1959-1993, touching the lives of many area residents. Before the credit union, he taught at Emerson Junior High School. Robert is survived by his wife, Elaine; children, Kevin and wife, Christine White, Patrick and wife, Christie White, Alice Daly, Betty and husband, Kevin Rush, Grace and husband, Daniel House; grandchildren, Greg, Elizabeth, and Jennifer White, Sean and Kate White, Tommy, Kerry Lynne, and Ben Daly, Rhiannon and Sierra Rush, Ryan and Alexandra House; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Richard Michael White.
