Of Flint, age 47, died Thursday, July 26, 2012. The funeral service will take place 3:00pm, Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dwight Rottiers will officiate with cremation to follow. James' family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. James was born August 14, 1964, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Roger McLone and Carol Bishop. He and Elizabeth were united in marriage in August 31, 1990, in Flint, Michigan. James graduated from Genesee High School Class of 1983. He proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years as a Ranger and sniper team leader before receiving his Honorable Discharge. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing with his grandson, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling gardening and boating. James will be remembered for saying "Do as I say, not as I do" and "I love you as big as the sky." Left to cherish his memory are wife, Elizabeth; four children; Rachel, Sasha, Jared and Jordan; grandson, Lyric James; three siblings, Laura and husband, John Grzeck, Thomas McLone, Sean and wife, Sheila McLone; parents, Roger McLone, and Carol and husband, Terrance Bishop; and numerous family members and friends.
