Of Mt. Morris, age 51, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. David was born April 29, 1958 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle and Carol (Sawade) Williamson. He and Diane Jersey were united in marriage December 24, 1975. David was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Birch Run Moose Lodge. After 33 years of service, he retired from General Motors-Grand Blanc in August 2009. His grandkids were his pride and joy. David leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Diane; children, Shelia and husband, Howard Teeple, Michael and wife, Angie; two grandchildren, Alison and Jonathan; siblings, Yvonne and husband, Rick Robison, Daniel and wife, Debbie; four cats, Baby, Trouble, Mischief, Kittie; Gumby the Bird; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Thomas; step-grandfather, Leo Thomas; Uncle Max and Uncle Rex Williamson; cousin, Craig Miller.
