PLEW, Ronald A.\ \ age 79 of Mt. Morris, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 11:00am., Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Pastor Tim Evans officiating with burial following in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends 11:00 am. - 9:00pm. Wednesday and from 10:00 am. until time of the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ron was born July 14, 1926 in Mt. Morris, Michigan, son of Mr. & Mrs. Alex and Olive (Fleet) Plew. He married Paula Glassburn on May 12, 1950 in Clio, Michigan. He worked in Maintenance for the Flint Board of Education for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a proud World War II Veteran, having served with the United States Army in Okinawa and Philippines. He also enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, fishing at local lakes, watching and feeding birds. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Paula; two daughters, Kay Ann Morgan of Fenton, Kim Ann and husband Ed Cozart of West Virginia; two sons, Ronald Kurt and wife Nancy Plew of Mt. Morris, Kenneth Douglas and wife Debbie Plew of Kansas; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Eric James Plew and David Lee Plew; one sister, Naida; two brothers, Marvin and Robert.\
