Obituary of Jack Miller

Of Mt Morris, age 82, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 10:00am Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt Morris. Pastor Steve Windle will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Graveside Military Honors Conducted by the VWF. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 10:00am until 7:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the VeteranAaas of Foreign War Organization (VFW). Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jack was born December 2, 1926 in Eaton Rapids, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren and Ella (Fay) Miller. He and Bessie Jordan were united in marriage on January 23, 1990. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II assigned to a sea-going tug; was a self-taught and self-employed tool and die maker for many years; and loved woodworking, but not more than making people laugh. He will be missed for his loving and caring ways, as well as his natural ability to get what he was owed from the government! Jack leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Bessie; daughters, Kathleen and husband, Robert LeMay, Marie Miller; son, Blair Jack and wife, Lorraine Miller; sister, Ada May Tate; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Eric, Tammy, Benny, Blair John, Brock, Jai-Leah, Anjanette; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Phyllis; son, Randall Lee; nine siblings.
