TATE, William F. AaA"PeteAaA age 64 of South Branch, formerly of Clio, died suddenly, Thursday, November 5, 2009. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Monday from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to Goodar Township Volunteer Fire Department, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Pete was born January 2, 1945 in Cardwell Missouri, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto and Stella (Hyde) Tate. He and Joyce Nelson were united in marriage on June 14, 1974. Pete served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he went to work for General Motors, where he spent 30 years, before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid NASCAR fan, and devoted to his family and friends. He was a member of the Hale Eagles, the UAW# 599, and the Jose Lake Improvement Association. Pete leaves to cherish his memory, wife Joyce, son Craig and wife Lisa Nelson, two grandchildren, Jessica and Robert Nelson, two brothers, Gerald, and wife Barbara Tate, Otto AaA"BudAaA and wife Margaret Tate, sister, Judy and husband Nate Climer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Leona Grace Gathright, and Vicki Puckett, and brothers, Jimmy Dale Tate, and Nicky Tate.
