Obituary of Ronald Lee

Of Vassar, age 69, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at home. The funeral service will take place 6:30pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Home - Vassar. Rev. John Becker will officiate, cremation has taken place. RonAaas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00pm until time of service at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions to the Charity of your choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ronald "Ron" was born March 14, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Dorothy (Titsworth) Lee. Ronald worked as a Police Officer for the City of Vassar before transferring to the Ann Arbor Police Department where he worked until being injured in the line of duty. He then returned to Vassar in the 1970's to take over the family business, Lee Auto Salvage. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising and showing Morgan Horses, collecting and tinkering with old cars, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ron also enjoyed having his daily hot cup of coffee with his many friends at KarrAaas Kafe AaA"Truck StopAaA. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years Jacqueline; five children; Laura and husband Dan Stone, Matthew and wife, Brooke Lee, Melanie Lee, Todd Lee and Christopher Lee; 12 grandchildren; Michael, Charlie, Hannah, Grant, Danny, Nathan, Anna, Jonathan, Zachary, Stephanie, Hayden and Jacob; several great-grandchildren; three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dianna. Ron will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
