Smith Phylista "Phyllis \ of Mt. Morris died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Maplewoods Manor. Funeral service will be Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating, with burial in St. Michaelas Cemetery in Maplegrove Township. Phyllis family will be present at the Miles Martin Funeral Home to receive friends on Saturday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, and 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Monday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Phyllis was born April 13, 1912 in Maplegrove Township the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam and Anna (Hoffman) Schuster. She and Vester Smith were united in marriage on June 19, 1937 in Maplegrove Township. He preceded her in death May 5, 1975. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory:4 children: Marvin "Smittya and wife Lois Smith of Mt. Morris, Wilma and husband Larry Gerow of Mt. Morris, Ruth and husband Roland Baker of Mt. Morris, and Rose and husband Jerry Sloat of Central Lake, 7 grandchildren: Pam, Rick, Dawn, Christy, Eddie, Dave, and Doug, 16 great grandchildren,\ Very special step grandchildren Liz and husband Pastor Joe Hall, and Very special step great-granddaughter Lindsay Hall. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vester, brothers and sisters. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of the staff and nurses at Genesys Health Park, and to the staff and nurses at Maplewoods Manor. \ \
