Obituary of Sylvia Arleen Ketchens

Age 71, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at home with her family by her side. In accordance with Sylvia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Sylvia’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.
Sylvia was born in Troy, North Carolina, on January 6, 1949, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Lily (Blue) Morris. Sylvia met and married the love of her life, Rory Ketchens, on August 23, 1980. Sylvia worked at a dentist’s office processing insurance claims. In her free time, Sylvia enjoyed reading, knitting, painting, and playing games on her iPad.
Left to cherish Sylvia’s memory are her husband of 40 years, Rory; children: Tonya and husband, Edward Moreau, Scott and wife, Joni Oberlin; grandchildren: John and Amanda Parker, Kate, Jake, and Drew Oberlin; brothers: Jim Morris and Keith Morris.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria Back.
