Our first location, in Mt. Morris, was downtown, just West of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris. In the early 1930’s, the funeral home was moved to its second location in Mt. Morris, on North Saginaw St. across from where the Mt. Morris Library is now located.
In 1934, we moved one final time to our current location at 1194 E Mount Morris Rd. Over the next 50 years, several additions would be made to the original house. A carport, garages, and a small chapel on the East side of the building were added in the early 1940s and another chapel and a lounge were added in the 1950s. Through the late 1980s and into the mid-1990s, the largest expansions were made: moving the entrance to the West side of the building and adding the largest chapel, a family lounge, office space, and garages large enough to accommodate eight vehicles.
Over the last 20 years, we have completely remodeled our foyer to better serve guests, converted what was once a chapel into a family lounge, and relocated and expanded the size of our restrooms. Most recently, we allocated a large portion of our facility into the Great Lakes Veterans Museum, meant to honor those from our area who dedicated a part of their lives to securing America’s freedom.
