Similar in nature to “Toys for Tots,” but with a specific focus on our Military Families, “Operation Toy Soldier” is a not-for-profit which collects new, unwrapped toys and financial gifts to support all families in our communities connected to the military whether they are active duty, veterans, retired or reservists.
Since joining this program in early 2019, Martin Funeral Home has gathered more than 3,000 toys and over $7,500.00 in donations to help our military families in need during the holidays.
Several area businesses, municipalities and churches have helped to ensure the success of this program by graciously allowing our toy barrels to be placed in their buildings.
