Ken was born in Lansing, Michigan, on June 9, 1939, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Oleta (Howison) Milks. After high school, Ken attended Spring Arbor Junior College, where he met the love of his life, Brenda Doughty. They married on May 20, 1961, in Ida, Michigan. After moving to Mt. Morris, Ken worked as a copier repair technician for 3M for many years, until opening Milks Audio & Copier in Mt. Morris during the 1980s. His passion for audio recording even led him on a mission trip to Puerto Rico to record their evangelistic outreaches. He was best known for recording the band and choir concerts of the Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School in Mt. Morris, which he did for many years. Additionally, he loved doing professional recordings for the New Century Chorale, the Kearsley Community Chorus, and Flushing, Grand Blanc, and Kearsley high schools. In his free time, Ken enjoyed completing various large home renovation projects for family and friends. He also enjoyed sailing, fishing, tennis, dominoes, and listening to classical music recordings, while he played the conductor :-). But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and bringing them much laughter. Ken was a long-time member of Gideons International.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda; two children: son Larry (Nancy) Milks, and their children: Sarah (Nic) McLean, and great-granddaughter, Madelyn; Jane (Tom) Palumbo, and great-granddaughter Nora; Heather (Ted) Welsh; daughter Carolyn Cameron (Michael Mistretta) and her children: Stacy, Clark "CJ", and Cory Cameron; sister, Juanita Appelton; and many in-laws, and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jeanette; brother, Howard; and brother-in-law, Virgil Appelton.
