Obituary of Jesse Clark
Age 49, of Clio, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, in McLaren-Flint. A Celebration of Life Service will take place, 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Jay’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive family and friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. Pastor Dale Lewis officiating with cremation to follow. Jesse "Jay" was born in Flint, on February 18, 1974, the son of John E. McFadden and Iris (Puff) Rouse. Educated locally, Jay attended Beecher High School. He worked as a garbage collector for Smith Disposal and Richfield Landfill for many years, until retiring in 2010. He was a long-time member of North Flushing Baptist Church. He met, and married the love of his life, Misty Frye on July 12, 2001, in Flint. When not spending time with his family and friends, Jay enjoyed mowing his lawn, playing pranks on his wife, and kids. He especially enjoyed cruising around in his 84' Cadillac listening to 90s hip hop music. Most of all, Jay loved spending time with his granddaughters. He was the world’s best grandpa, loving husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Misty Frye; four children: Jesse Clark, Nina (Jacob McDonald) Clark, Julie (Grayden Hamilton) Clark, and John Clark; two grandchildren: Julianna, and Paisley; 10 siblings: Julie (Tim), James, Mark, Sherry, Susan, Wayne, Johnny, Pam, Rodney; special friend, "brother" and nephew, Keith Shriner; father and mother-in-law: Frank and Delores Frye; brothers-in-law: Harold Frye and Frank Frye; and many other family members and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, John McFadden, mother, Iris Rouse and stepdad, Earl Oram; four siblings; sister-in-law, Christina Frye.
