Obituary of Sharon Mary Ellen Bell
Sharon Mary Ellen Bell, nee Rekart, 80, Silex, MO, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Sharon was born Aug. 7, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to Arthur Frances Rekart and wife Helen Margaret, nee Christie.
She was united in marriage to John Hugh Bell at St. John and James Catholic Church in Ferguson, MO June 28, 1958.
Sharon retired from the state hospital in Caro, MI after many years of employment.
She enjoyed traveling and had recently returned from a 28-day cruise. Sharon also enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and collecting dolls. She was a life-long member of the Catholic church and deeply valued her faith.
Sharon is survived by her three sons; Randy and wife Terri Bell of Hernando, MS, Bruce and wife Kim Bell of Glendo, WY, and Kurt and wife Kara Bell of Washington, MO; grandchildren Emily Bell and fiancé Steven Conklin of St. Louis, MO, Zane Bell of Washington, MO, Jessie Morarie and wife Kristie of Oxford, MS, Jackie Gittings of Chillicothe, MO, and Rachel Hale and husband Ansil of Green City, MO; many great-grandchildren; her brother Joe Rekart of Silex, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Rekart; her husband, John Bell; and her brothers, Arthur Rekart and Richard Rekart.
Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Crematory in Troy, MO with Father Charles Tichacek officiating.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Demorest Cemetery in Akron, MI, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. Friends and family may begin gathering at the graveside at 10:30 a.m.
