Obituary of Frances E. Dickerson

Frances E. Babcock Dickerson Age 89, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services-Mt. Morris, on Monday, November 28, 2016, at 10:00 am. Reverend Mark Ryan will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and again, on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. Frances was born March 12, 1927, in Lansing, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Katherine (Harmon) McPherson. She graduated from Elizabeth Ann Johnston High School with the class of 1944. She married Robert Dickerson and he preceded her in death in 1984. Frances worked as a licensed practical nurse for Heartland Homecare for many years. She liked bowling, water skiing, watching the Detroit Tigers baseball and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, daughters: Karen (Mark) Ryan, and Pamela (Van) Blue; sons: Alan (Cindy) Babcock, and Kevin (Kim) Babcock; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister: Joanne Hunter. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Robert Dickerson; life companion: Lee Gottschalk; three sisters: Elaine and husband, Kenneth McComb, Shirley Clayton, and Delores McMullan; and brother Don Rex.
