Obituary of Richard Dean Tack

Richard “Dick” Tack, age 60, of Vassar Township died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at home in Vassar. Funeral service will take place Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home-Vassar. Pastor Ron Sinclair to officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 4:00 pm until 8:00pm, and on Sunday from 1:00 pm until time of Service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the American Heart Association. Richard was born October 18, 1955 in Bay City, son of the late Clarence and the late Joyce (Martin) Tack. He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the Army’s 10th Field Artillery from 1974-78. He was employed by Means Industries Inc. in Vassar until retirement. In Dick’s spare time he enjoyed fishing and golfing. Left to cherish Richard’s memory are his Aunt, Beverly Richard and husband Julius; uncle, Thomas Martin and wife Sandy; sister’s-in-law: Mary Tack Scheffer, and Elizabeth Tack; nieces and nephews: Kathy Davis, Heidi Mocny and husband, Michael, Brian Germain and wife, Trisha, Heather Bouck and significant other, Floyd, Steven Tack and wife, Mary, Andrea Hewett and husband, Hall Jr., Charlana Tack, Ryan Mossner, Brandon Tack and significant other, Genie Martus, Kaylin Tack, and Cheyenne Scheffer and significant other Damon Hyatt; great nieces and great nephews: Melissa, Shannon, Katherine, Rachel, Erin, Skyela, Chayton, Baelyn, Jared, Madisenne, James, Hall III, Maiya, Leah, Jadelyn; and seven great-great nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Duaine Tack, and James Tack; Sister, Patricia; and several Aunts, Uncles, and other family and friends.
