Obituary of Evelyn H. Randall

Of Flint, age 85, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Dayton Heights Community Church in Flint. Pastor Phillip Parkin will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. On Wednesday, Evelyn will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Harriet was born January 8, 1926 in Marquette, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Grace (Hetzer) Paskett. She and Eugene Randall were united in marriage on July 30, 1952. Evelyn was an elder of Dayton Heights Community Church; attending that church for 40 years. She was considered the "prayer warrior." Evelyn loved flowers and birds. She was a silent witness to the well being of all family members and will be greatly missed. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her seven children, David and wife, Diana Randall, Esther and husband, Michael Henderson, Michael and wife, Lynne Randall, Judy Smith, Jerry Randall, Robert and wife, Anne Randall, and Paul and wife, Alice Randall; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Eugene; and brother, Virgil "Pete" Hetzer.
