Obituary of Marie Elizabeth Stein

Of Mt. Morris, age 80, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Chaplin Goodman Cox will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Those desiring, please direct memorial contributions to the Leader Dogs for the Blind or American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marie was born March 5, 1931 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Rose (Perry) Henry. She and Joseph Stein were united in marriage June 26, 1948 in Evart, Michigan. Marie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Mildred Wint (Peter Mikelens), Gary Stein, and Rita Akins; five grandchildren, Michael Akins, John and David VanBallegooijen, Lara Stein, and Andy Todd; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Joseph; two brothers, John and James "Herbert"; and many other relatives.
