Of Millington, age 78, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #158. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on June 27, 2011 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. On Monday night, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the rosary at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday morning, Milton will be taken to church to lie in state from 11:00 am until the time of Mass at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Hurley Medical Center-Cardiac Care Unit. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Milton was born April 14, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene and Adeline (Cressen) Wild. He and Lila Domke were united in marriage June 22, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2001.
Milton proudly joined the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he went on to work for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
Milton leaves to cherish to memory, four children, Robin and husband, Randy Hardenburg, Daniel Wild, Vicki and husband, Brian O'Neil, and Shari and husband, John Pichey; fiancee, Peggy Cabala; extended family, Danny, Eddy, Tracie, Alan, Terri, Jenny, and Peter; six grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, April, Devin, Erica, and Krista; 25 extended grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 14 extended great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 45 years, Lila; granddaughter, Kimberly; one brother, John; and one sister, June.
