Obituary of Bernard D. Bullard SR.

Of Flint, age 56, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow. Bernard's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from on Wednesday, from 12:00 to 8:00pm. Bernard was born April 11, 1955 in Saginaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne and Evelyn (Schmitzer) Bullard. He and Arlene Bullard were united in marriage July 3, 1985. Bernard worked for Buick before retiring in 2002. He was a member of UAW Local #599, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Clown Unit "Deedle Dee" and a member of Masons. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golfing, hunting, fishing, playing tennis, fireworks, cards and gardening. Bernard leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Arlene, seven children; Anthony Bullard, Victoria (James) Paivarinta, Bernard (Traci) Bullard, Jr., Amanda Bullard, George Bullard, Makenzy Bullard, Andrew Bullard, five grandchildren; Bernard III, Marilynne and Hunter Bullard, Austin and Kylie Paivarinta, his father, DeWayne (Grace) Bullard, four siblings; Gail Cobb, Merna (Marshall) Parks, Judson (Marcella) Bullard, Dana (Alessio) D'Andrea, several nieces, nephews and friends. Bernard was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn, sister, Jackie Fischer and his brother, DeWayne Bullard.
