Of Clio, age 77, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Clio Senior Center, Autism Speaks, or charity of your choice. Barbara was born August 21, 1933 in Burton, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Helen (Alexander) Wilber. She and Donald Holbin were united in marriage July 26, 1952. Barbara attended Bendle Elementary and graduated from Bendle High School in 1951 with a varsity letter for basketball, softball, and awards for home making. Further, she was a member of the Clio Eagles #3609 Women's Auxiliary. Barbara held many jobs over the years including the Burton Theater, Louie's Department Store, Turnstead (AC Sparkplug) and the Bavarian Inn. Barbara was also a homemaker and a caring wife and mother. In her earlier days, Barbara enjoyed auctions, garage sales, bingo, and Poker. Further, she loved reading, gardening, sipping coffee with friends around the kitchen table, traveling scenic routes through Michigan to visit Sault St. Marie, as well as, viewing many of the lighthouses. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Edward and wife, Ann Holbin and Scott and wife, Tracy Holbin; six grandchildren; Janeese, Troy, Ian, Nathan, Jeff, and Tyler; three great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Donald; and one brother.
