Obituary of Donald R. Stinson

Of Mt. Morris, age 79, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at Brian's House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. John Bailey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Don's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Don was born December 26, 1931, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Dorothy (Loomis) Stinson. He and Jean A. Boquette were united in marriage March 19, 1955, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. He worked at Ternstedt for 31 years before retiring in 1982. He was a member UAW Local #326, Masonic Lodge #535 and Clio Bethany United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are, wife of 56 years Jean; Rick (Joan), Darrell (Laurie), Craig (Barb), David (Gail), Donald (Tina); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
