Obituary of Evelyn Lillian O'Dell

Of Flint, age 87, died Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Kith Haven. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Evelyn's family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Evelyn was born December 26, 1923, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David and Lulu (Carter) Mitts. She and Ronald O'Dell were united in marriage March 14, 1964, in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death March 15, 2010. She worked at AC Delco for many years. Evelyn enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, country music, crocheting, needlepoint, word search puzzles and attending Clio Assembly of God. Left to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jacqueline Farnsworth; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald O'Dell; daughter, Beverly Frechette; grandson, Donald J. Hutchinson; parents, David and Lulu Mitts; seven brothers and two sisters.
