Obituary of Irene Stella Clark

Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery, with graveside Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #158. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Friday afternoon, family, friends and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 4:00 pm. On Saturday morning, Irene will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Mary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Irene was born May 22, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and Pearl (Kurzawski) Loisell. She and Clarence Clark were united in marriage May 22, 1948, in Mt. Morris. Irene proudly served her country in the United States Army during World War II. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and sewing. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Judy and husband, Alexander Harris, two grandsons, Daniel and wife, Amy Salazar and Robert and wife, Nicole Salazar; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua and wife, Rachel, Daniel III and Katelyn Salazar; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
