Obituary of Lloyd C. Brown

Of Mt Morris, age 86, died Friday, December 2, 2011, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The memorial service will take place 4:00 pm, Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris, Pastor Alonzo Vincent will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Lloyd was born and raised on the family farm on January 11, 1925, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Marie (Collins) Brown. He and MaryLou Carley were united in marriage October 17, 1953, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. She preceded him in death April 4, 1999. He would meet Esther Berkan on his farm and were united in marriage November 28, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lloyd worked as plant protection for General Motors for 23 years until retiring in 1988. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, rebuilding tractors, attending tractor shows, square dancing, attending horse shows with his family and traveling. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Esther; daughter, Sandra and husband, Francis Tull; three grandchildren, Justina Lamson, Francis and Aaron Tull; Esther's two children, Roger and wife, Linda Berkan, Sharon and husband, Stan Dent; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, MaryLou Brown; sister, Ilene Bobb; and brother, Leon Brown.
