Obituary of James Alan Halvarson

Of Otter Lake, age 26, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at McLaren Lapeer. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am Monday, February 6, 2012 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to a Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jimmy was born June 20, 1985, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Christine (Strong) Halvarson. He worked for Micro Gage as a machine operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Roman James; parents, James Sr. and Christine; sister, Lynda and fiance Ron Gatica; mother of Roman, Nicole Grover; nieces, Sophia and Emma; grandmother, Lynda Strong; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Roland and Cleona Halvarson and uncle, John Strong.
