Obituary of James B. McCool

Of Montrose, age 68, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Home. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the McLaren Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jim was born March 30, 1943 in Flint, Michigan the son of Harry McCool and Helen Carpenter He and Judith Armstrong were united in marriage July 7, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan. Jim worked for GM at Ternstedt, before moving to the Chevy V-8 Engine Plant for 32 years; retiring in 1996. He was a member of the UAW #659. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, gardening and riding the rodeo. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Judy; five children, Mary McCool, Harry McCool and companion, Melissa Carter, Ronald McCool and companion, Wendy Breecher, Connie McCool and companion, Matthew Meade, and Terry McCool and companion, Julie Wheeler; 11 grandchildren, Tabitha and husband, Sean, Tiffany and husband, Brett, Billie Jo, Travis, Jenica, Amanda, Brittany, Sheila, Autumn, Courtney and husband, Christopher, and Nathan; six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Margie and husband, John Newman and Paula Zarko; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Everett Bunting and two brothers, Robert and Sonny.
