Of Mt. Morris, age 70, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with cremation to follow. Earl's family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive friends from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Butch was born August 31, 1941, in Monroe, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Edith (Lanier) Shock. He and Bobbie D. Beadle were united in marriage August 26, 1975. Butch retired from General Motors after 34 years of service in 1999, and was a member of UAW Local #599. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, restoring cars, fishing with his best friend Dave Hurley, hunting, spending time at the family cabin and watching tv. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Bobbie; four children; Sam Shock, Randy (Nikki) Shock, Scott Shock and Chrisi Shock; three grandchildren; Meagan, Danielle and Trevor; four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Sadie, Oliver and Lily; four siblings, Harold, Shirley, Betty and Debbie and many nieces, nephews and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Wilford, Bob, Beaulah.
