Obituary of Donald Eugene Turpin

Of Burton, age 81, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. The funeral service will take place 2:30 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Mr. Hank Messing will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:30 pm.
Don was born October 23, 1930, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David and Georgiana (Palmer) Turpin. He worked for 52 years for General Motors, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the UAW #599. Don was a loving son, uncle and brother, who enjoyed watching the history channel, talking about Texas and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are three siblings, Edward and wife, Landa Turpin, Thomas Turpin, Betty Napoli and Mary Jo and husband, Joseph Davis, many special nieces and nephews, and special friend, Janine Leff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David, and Gerald, and two sisters, Dorothy and Jeanne.
