Obituary of Margaret Jeanette Montague

Of Clio, age 95, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her home. The funeral service will take place Friday, April 20, 2012, at Mayfair Bible Church in Flushing. Chaplain Burt Davis will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. Margaret's family will be present at Martin Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, on Thursday to receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM. On Friday Margaret will be taken to Mayfair Bible Church to lie in state from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Kindred Spirit or to Carriage Town Mission. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and the church. Margaret was born October 25, 1916, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Sidney and Margaret (Black) Gamble. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1935. She and Paul Montague were married in Mt. Morris Sept. 29, 1938. Margaret's life was exemplified by faith in her Lord Jesus, and by her love for both family and friends. Her four children: David and wife, Diane Montague; Janet and husband, Jim Stinedurf; Jim and wife, Lois Montague; and Kathy and husband Dan Bratt; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and many other family members will miss her dearly.
