Obituary of Marie Morrison

Of Flint, age 91, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at MediLodge of Montrose. Cremation has taken place. A joint memorial service for Marie and son, Kenneth will take place 11:00 am, Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Chaplain Bill Beasinger will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Charity of Choice. Envelopes are available at the church. Marie Nelson was born July 6, 1920, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benhart and Lela (Hokanson) Nelson. She and Howard Lewis were united in marriage in 1943. Marie loved laughing with her family and friends; she will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her children, William and wife, Deborah Lewis, Jack and wife, Tonda Lewis, and Shirley and husband, Cecil Asbury; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and sister, Beverly Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Lewis; son, Kenneth Lewis; grandson, Bobby Asbury; and sister, Joyce McColl.
