Obituary of Betty E. Clark

Of Mt. Morris, age 88, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the United Brethren in Christ Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with cremation to follow Private burial will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Brethren in Christ Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Betty was born February 29, 1924, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Vera (Fuller) Bloss. She and Samuel Dobbs were united in marriage in 1948; he preceded her in death in 1957. She would later marry Rex Clark; he also preceded her in death. She worked as a floral designer for Town Square Florist for many years. She enjoyed singing, gardening, bowling, painting and golfing. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Samuel L. and wife, Patty Dobbs of Algonac, and Thomas E. Dobbs of Big Pine Key, FL.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Goldie and husband Erwin Saultman of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Samuel Dobbs in 1957; and second husband, Rex Clark; daughter, Susan Troyer; four sisters and two brothers.
