Obituary of Laurent Duplanty

Of Mt. Morris, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012. The memorial service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, August 13, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Chaplin Goodman Cox will officiate with cremation to follow. Frenchy's family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive friends from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Frenchy was born January 4, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Blanche (DuBois) Duplanty. Frenchy proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for 2 years before receiving his Honorable discharge. He retired from General Motors. Frenchy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, karaoke, deer hunting, fishing and gardening. Left to cherish his memory two sons, Terry (Regina) Duplanty and Larry (Jennifer) Duplanty; three grandchildren, Amanda, Travis and Samantha; two brothers Fran and Joe Duplanty; best friend and love of his life, Jeannie, and step-daughter, Tammy (Don). Frenchy was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jeffrey, three brothers, Denny, Eugene and Bob; and three sisters, Lucille, Blanche and Agnus.
