Obituary of Mary Ann Decker

Of Flint, age 90, died Monday, September 24, 2012, at Melody Gardens. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, September 28, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary Ann was born July 10, 1922, in Sanford, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Bessie (Davidson) Varner. She and Lloyd Decker were united in marriage on July 11, 1942, in Mt. Morris. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating, knitting and crocheting. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lloyd N. Decker, Carol McCulley, Laura Graves, Pam Neuperger and Chris and wife, Katie Decker; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, William Varner; two sisters, Jean Pinder and Joann Harrington; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; daughter, Dianne Eppler; and grandson, Jim Eppler.
