BENWAY, DALE Allan, age 65 of Flint, died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. George Puraidam officiating. Family will be present to receive friends 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday. Monday evening at 7:00pm a memorial service will be put on by Welfare Lodge #517 F&AM. Memorial contributions may be considered to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Dale was born March 22, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, son of Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence and Pauline (Birchmeier) Benway. Dale and Martha League were united in marriage on June 2, 1962 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He worked in production at GM Truck & Bus for thirty years, retiring in 1994. His work buddies nicknamed him "Hoss.a \ \ He enjoyed playing pool, swimming, scuba diving, playing cards, but his passions were centered around working on cars, and bowling. Dale was credited with three actual 300 games and one 800 series. He bowled at Galaxy, Bas, and Nightingale Lanes. He belonged to the Foresters and the Masonic Welfare Lodge #517. Dale loved being a grandfather for the past thirteen months.\ \ Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 A years, Martha; two children, Dale and Crystal Benway II of Davison and Cheryl Benway of Flint; grandchildren, Dale Benway III and one granddaughter due in March of 2007; his mother, Pauline Benway; sister, Joyce Petee; two aunts, Catherine Birchmeier and Frances Birchmeier; brother-in-law, James Klepoch; several nieces, nephews; and Daleas best buddy, Zippy, their 8 year old poodle.\ \ Dale was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Benway on December 7, 1979; sister, Carol Klepoch in May of 2006; and half brother, Larry Fleming.\
