HUNT, Byron Herman\ \ Of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 1:30pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Sam Johnson will officiate with burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Byronas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday morning from 11:00am until the time of service 1:30pm.\ \ Byron was born October 27, 1915 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. and Minnie M. (Hamann) Hunt. He and Freida Alker were united in marriage June 26, 1937 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Flint. Byron served in the US Army during WWII and retired from Buick in 1971. He had worked for GM as a foreman for 35 years. After retiring he and Freida vacationed in Florida for many years. He also took the time to enjoy gardening, yard work, bird watching and he loved to watched sports, especially U of M.\ \ Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 69 years, Freida,\ three sons, Norman W. Hunt,\ Bruce A. and wife Pat Hunt,\ David C. and wife Karon Hunt,\ six grandchildren, Julie Carrell,\ Mark and wife Tina Hunt,\ Staci and husband Stephen Crane,\ Jeff Hunt,\ Janet and husband Nick McVannel,\ Philip Hunt,\ 8 great-grandchildren, Joe, Brian, Danielle, Louie, Andrew, Nicholas, Faith and Jake,\ four nephews, a niece and many friends.\ \ Byron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Warren.\ \ \ \ \ \ \
