Obituary of Yvonne Marie Lavene
Age 68, of Flint, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Yvonne’s family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc. Pastor Robert Scott to officiate. Yvonne was born in Martinez, CA, on March 28, 1954, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Marilyn (Leeck) Butterfield. She met and married the love of her life, Dennis Lavene, on June 28, 1986, at the Parkland Presbyterian Church. Yvonne loved to take care of her family and help anyone in need. She was an amazing cook, with her specialties consisting of potato salad, homemade dressing, and of course, fudge for every holiday. Yvonne loved to take car rides with her beloved husband, as well as spend time vacationing in Mackinaw City. Yvonne was a huge Elvis fan and attended many of his concerts. She even was lucky enough to catch a scarf and a teddy bear on two separate occasions. To say Yvonne loved to shop was an understatement. She was a connoisseur of new items. In her free time, she enjoyed reading mystery novels, crocheting, and spending time with her beloved animals. Yvonne loved her family and was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Yvonne's memory is her loving husband of 36 years, Dennis Lavene; children: John and wife, Katie Bonasse, Mark and wife, Cindy Bonasse; grandchildren: Dominic, Michaila, Nathan, Krysten, Evan; great-grandchildren: Grace and Emily; brothers: Richard and wife, Patricia Butterfield, Ronald and wife, Cindy Butterfield, Randy and wife, Lori Butterfield, Robert and wife, Stephanie Butterfield; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kevin Bonasse.
