Obituary of Cathleen Jane Green
Age 78, of Clio, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at home. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Jim Garfield to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Cathleen’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Cathleen “Cathy” was born in Flint on June 20, 1944, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Marion (Clark) McDougall. Educated locally, Cathy graduated from Grand Blanc High School with the Class of 1962. Cathy met and married the love of her life, Donald Green, on December 22, 2022. Sadly, he preceded her in death on January 4, 2004. Teaching Sunday school at Hopewell Baptist Church was one of the most rewarding times in Cathy’s life. She took pride in the fact that she received a perfect attendance award every year for 30 years! The awards started out as pins, and because she received so many, she was given a plaque. Cathy attended Shiloh Baptist Church regularly and enjoyed being part of the church. Cathy enjoyed taking her dog, Oliver, on walks all over the city. When he could no longer keep up with her, she bought a stroller for him so she could still take him for walks. Cathy loved her family and enjoyed spending all her free time with them. She would take them to Crossroads Village, Mott Farm, and Greenfield Village, just to name a few. Decorating for the holidays was one of her favorite pastimes, with Christmas being her favorite holiday. She always had the best decorations. Cathy loved her family with a passion and will be greatly missed.
Cathy is survived by her children: Bryan Green and Darcy Green; grandchildren: Brandon and wife, Andrea Pacheco, and Elena Pacheco.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband; parents; children: Brenda Jo Green and Tricia Anne Green.
