Obituary of Kathleen Marie Lacko

Kathleen Lacko, loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, age 83 of Marlette, formerly of Sebewaing, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Kathleen was born September 9, 1939, in Sebewaing, to the late Robert and Mildred (Carr) Nutt. She married James Lacko on March 15, 1959, at the Assembly of God Church in Sebewaing.

Kay enjoyed fellowship with her church family at Life of Faith. Every day she spent time with the Lord reading her bible. She loved to read, do circle word and fill-in puzzles, and play cards. She also loved to send greeting cards. She was blessed to have many wonderful friends. She was also known as “Grandma Kay” to many children and babysat for many nieces and nephews. A special “Thank You” to Anita, Brook, Diane, Karen, and Julie from United Hospice for taking such great care of Kay.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James; four children, Daniel Lacko, Patricia Reidel, James Lacko, Jr., Anna (John) Milligan; grandchildren, Daniel (Anna) Lacko, Jr., Jeffery (Kim) Reidel, Matthew (Hope) Reidel, Samantha (Jim) Bazan, Tori (Brad) Provo, Lela Milligan, and Logan Milligan; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Bryson, Ashlynd, Katlyn, and Brianna; one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Sherri Lacko, son-in-law Daniel Reidel, Jr.; siblings Patricia (George) May, Leo Nutt, Ella (Donald) Glann, Robert (Judy) Nutt, Betty (Stanley) Zuchnik, Bonnie (Wilbert) Fuerst, Ruth (Robert) Graves, Kenneth (Ilene) Nutt, Ronald Nutt, Theodora (Donald) Pyke, Vivian Limberger, Martha (Stanley) Karg, Virginia (William) Hartman, and Donna Hartman.

A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on November 5, 2022, at Heritage Church, 543 N. Cedar Street, Imlay City, MI. 48444. A luncheon will follow the service.

Memorial Contributions may be considered to United Hospice of Marlette.
