Obituary of Carl Eugene Pratt

Age 62, of Mt Morris, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home. In accordance with Carl’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Carl’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.

 

Carl was born in Flint, on March 24, 1959, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Edith (Jones) Pratt Sr. Carl worked as a builder for Waltman Construction and F&P Construction. Carl enjoyed spending his time bass fishing on Lake Nepessing and the Flint River. He also enjoyed hunting Up North in Marion Springs. Carl could draw all sorts of animals, with dogs, horses, and butterflies, being his favorite. He had a special love for playing the acoustic guitar. Carl could often be found playing poker, cards, or dice. Growing up, one of the best memories his children remember about him was his love to go camping at Wolverine Campground every summer. Carl loved to ride his motorcycle and have bonfire parties, as well as spending time playing paintball. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog, Dolly. Carl had two very good friends that he loved to hang out with and talk to on the phone. He will be greatly missed.

 

Carl leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée, Faye Lee; children: Chuck Costello and girlfriend, Alyssa Leix, Joyce Costello and fiancé Steven Wood, Katie Pratt; sister, Sarah Moller; grandchildren: Alyssa and husband, Sid, Mikayla and husband, Shawn Taylor, Jamie, Charles and wife, Kelly, Kelley, Jr., Kimberly, Allie, Donavan, Emma; great-grandchildren: Callie, Shawn Taylor, Jr, Rory, Piper, Demi, Emma; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; best friends: Tom and Wally.

 

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Jason and Robert; brother, Dan Pratt.
