Beverly was born in Goodrich, on January 21, 1955, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Leona (Carey) Youmans. Beverly met the man of her dreams, Terry Cook, when she was just 9 years old. She told her mother that one day she was going to marry her next-door neighbor, and that is exactly what she did on July 22, 1972, at the Christian Community Church in Flint. Terry and Beverly were soul mates and inseparable. Their union would be blessed with three beautiful children. Beverly was a “mama bear” and would fiercely protect her family. In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed taking her children up north to Rose City where they loved to take the 4-wheeler with the trailer on the back and pull all her kids up the big hills. Beverly was on a bowling league at Galaxy Lanes for many years. Family gatherings such as cookouts, and family holidays were her favorite times with her favorite people. Christmas was her favorite holiday, as she was able to have the whole family together and she loved spending time with them. She was famous for her scalloped potatoes and no-bake cookies. Beverly enjoyed working on needlepoint and made a stocking for each member of her family with their names on it to hang on her wall. She loved playing Bingo all over the United States with her mom and even traveled to Canada to play in Windsor. One year, she won a motorcycle in Wisconsin at a Bingo game. She worked with silk flowers and made all the flowers for all of her children's weddings. She enjoyed always having her family around her. Beverly was happy to have her family live with her throughout her life. Her family was her whole world. She will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish Beverly’s memory is her beloved husband of 49 years, Terry Cook; children: Brian and wife, Lisa Cook, Stephanie Cook, and Jenny Cook; grandchildren: Robyn, Felicia, Traci, James, Robert, Hannah, Logan, Madison, Jackson, Katelyn, Trinity, Brooklyn, Alexander, Andrew, Camron; siblings: Peggy Kerr, Robert and wife, Marty Youmans, John Youmans; special friend, Sharon Bradley; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Robert Kerr.
